ADHD Preferred Prescribing Update
Updates were made to the Prescribing Guidelines for Behavioral Health to include a table of common patient considerations and how to mitigate issues, addition of the description for the Vanderbilt Scales, and information about the PHQ-A for depression screening and SCARED for anxiety screening. These guidelines also include prescribing recommendations for ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety disorders and depression, and autism spectrum disorder, as well as a comprehensive medication list for Medicaid plans of preferred and non-preferred agents. The guidelines also describe the preferred and non-preferred ADHD agents that apply to the Provider Incentive Plan measure. Remember that prescribing guidelines can always be found under Resources on the website.
