As families prepare for the upcoming academic year, remind them to prioritize and schedule an annual health checkup (well-child visit) for their child. It’s important to emphasize the benefits of a well-child visit and remind those who are overdue or about to be overdue for a well-child visit to schedule. Clinicians can also consider converting various visit types into well-child visits if the circumstances allow.
