Dr. Gowda to Serve as Partners For Kids Interim Medical Director

Dr. Charitha Gowda will serve as Interim Medical Director of Partners For Kids starting in May, as Dr. Gil Liu leaves Partners For Kids at the end of April. During his tenure with Partners For Kids, Dr. Liu has been dedicated to advancing our mission of improving the health of children. He will be missed by our team and we wish him well in his next endeavor.

For the past five years, Dr. Gowda has been an associate medical director with Partners For Kids. In that capacity, she worked closely with the quality improvement specialists and pharmacists to advocate for and implement interventions aimed at improving access to and the quality of health care delivery. She also maintains an active clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, primarily caring for people living with HIV and viral hepatitis. Dr. Gowda completed her training in medicine at Duke University School of Medicine and in public health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She subsequently trained as an internist at the University of Michigan before completing an infectious diseases fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
