This past month, the managed care plans have published updates on events and policy changes impacting their organizations.

Molina Update: 

• Molina Policy COVID-19 Bypasses: Effective October 1, 2023, Molina will turn back on edits that were previously paused due to the Public Health Emergency. These will include modifiers for telehealth, place of service (POS) for telehealth and new patient with telehealth POS.  Click here to read the policy in detail and see the modifiers that will be impacted.
• Annual Mandatory Cultural Competency Training: Per CMS guidelines Molina is required to validate their network providers’ complete an annual Cultural Competency training. To aid in this Molina is hosting a training. Click here and go to the top of page 4 to learn more about this opportunity.
