NEW! Asthma Resource for Switching Between Inhaled Steroids

Due to insurance changes and drug shortages, inhalers used to control pediatric asthma may be difficult to access. Partners For Kids now has a tool to help providers when a transition to an alternative controller inhaler is necessary.

Within this resource you will find age-specific low, medium, and high dose equivalents for available inhaled corticosteroids. To further assist your decision-making, we have provided typical dose frequencies, strengths available, device delivery methods, and Ohio Medicaid coverage details for each inhaler.  If you have questions, please reach out to the Partners For Kids pharmacy team at PFKPharmacy@NationwideChildrens.org.
