A new statewide support system is now live for pediatric primary care clinicians across Ohio. The Ohio Pediatric Psychiatry Access Line (OPPAL) officially launched at the end of August, connecting providers with child psychiatrists for peer-to-peer consultation.
Through this collaboration – uniting children’s hospital psychiatry and behavioral health teams, including experts from Nationwide Children’s – OPPAL empowers clinicians with:
- Timely psychiatric consultation with child and adolescent psychiatry experts
- Improved access to behavioral health resources and training
- Referral navigation for youth who need specialized behavioral health services
