In July 2023, Opill® (norgestrel 0.075 mg) became the first FDA-approved over-the-counter birth control. Now, Opill® is becoming available in community pharmacies. Opill® is covered for patients insured by an Ohio Medicaid plan, but a prescription is necessary for patients to use their insurance and avoid out-of-pocket costs.
