Over-the-counter medications are covered for patients insured by an Ohio Medicaid plan. If a provider sends prescriptions to the pharmacy for an over-the-counter medication this will avoid out-of-pocket costs for families and may improve adherence. Many constipation medications are available over-the-counter, but keeping track of what strengths, dosage forms and coverage caveats exist for these medications, is a challenge. To help navigate this space, Partners For Kids has developed the Constipation OTC Coverage Guide. For any questions about PFK Coverage Resources, please contact PFKPharmacy@nationwidechildrens.org.
