Does your practice have a unique patient population? Are you currently working on a quality improvement (QI) project? If so, consider appointing a cultural ambassador to your team. This can be a current staff member or someone from the community who can focus on building trust within the unique patient populations. Cultural ambassadors can educate providers and staff about cultural norms, values and potential barriers to care. This helps advocate for the patients, families and their cultural perspectives, while improving health equity. To discuss more, please contact Provider Relations at PFKProRelations@NationwideChildrens.org.
