On May 29th from 12 pm – 1 pm, Dayton Childrens Hospital and Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine will hold the grand rounds session, Contraceptives and Adolescents: Thinking Outside the “Birth Control” Box, presented by Michele Dritz, MD, MS, Clinical professor, Dept. of Pediatrics, WSU BSOM; Consultant, Care2 QI Program and Medical Director, LARC Practice Transformation, Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Columbus, Ohio.
The objectives of this ACCME opportunity are to:
- Cite three medical issues of contraceptive medications for adolescents.
- Describe the value newer progestin-only pills may have for adolescent patients.
- Apply the US Medical Eligibility Criteria to identify common estrogen-contraindications in adolescent patients.
- Identify reproductive health resources for providers, patients, and families
